Inpatient Satisfaction Questionnaire: Scale Development and Reliability-Validity Study

Objective: The aim of this study was to develop a valid and reliable measurement instrument determine the satisfaction rates inpatients. Methods: This designed as methodological research eight-step scale development principles developed by Devellis were followed. sample size calculated 360, taking into account 10 times number items in explanatory factor analysis. Exploratory confirmatory analyses applied reliability coefficients, Cronbach's Alpha Composite Reliability values, for subdimensions obtained. Results: Since probability value p<0.05 Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) determined 0.939 Bartlett's test, which performed analysis suitability results obtained from 36 items, data set found be “perfectly” suitable able explain concept inpatient large extent since total variance explained 70.04% In resulted 32 five subdimensions, all covariance values drawn between significant (p<0.05). Factor loadings within range 0.62-0.95. score Inpatient Satisfaction Questionnaire (ISQ) 0.911 whole scale. Conclusion: questionnaire that exhibited high level validity. We suggest it is measuring inpatients, will aid guide improvement healthcare facilities.
